The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) is a state agency that, among other duties, makes low interest rate loans to cities, counties and authorities for water, sewer and solid waste system improvements and for land conservation. GEFA has approved $2.6 billion in loans for over 1,400 projects since 1984.
GEFA welcomes applications for water and sewer loans at any time during the year. The loan conditions are easy to understand and the rates are easy to afford. Every project that is important to our clients is important to GEFA. The majority of our Board of Directors is made up of local government officials.
| Call or e-mail any of our loan program staff. A representative will be glad to visit your community to describe our loan programs and to show you how GEFA can help finance infrastructure improvements at the lowest possible cost. |
