Clean Energy Property Rebate Program Success Story: Edgewood at Beltline

Edgewood 2993Edgewood at the Beltline received $85,050 in rebate funds established for solar energy projects in Georgia through the Clean Energy Property Rebate Program. Established in 2009 as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the Clean Energy Property Rebate Program offsets up to 35 percent of the cost of installing renewable energy property, implementing lighting retrofits or building efficiency upgrades, subject to a maximum cap that varies depending on the technology installed. Inman Solar, an Atlanta-based, full service solar photovoltaic (PV) integrator firm, recently completed the installation of a solar canopy for Edgewood at the Beltline, a four-story, 18,000 square foot office building located in the Beltline Overlay in the historic Old Fourth Ward section of Atlanta. The first solar structure of its kind in Atlanta and the Southeast, it uses solar modules that cover the structure, providing shade and rain protection as well as producing clean renewable energy.
